Raptor Avatar is a left-of-the-dial rapper/producer/guitarist/digital artist. He spits surreal, dense verses and belts post-punk darts over a sometimes pretty, sometimes blistering synthesis of noise punk, fidgety/blissy electronic music, underground hip hop and indie rock. He also tumbls furiously at raptoravatar.tumblr.com where he tries to post a new art piece a day.
Second release with Umpire Brolesque, my duo with Lazy Lee on drums. Gnarly and angsty in places. Funny and self-deprecating in others. No samples on this one at all.
The last Raptor Avatar record to be built primarily with indie rock samples. This was when I started moving back into original productions.
First record with Lazy Lee. Epic, alt-rap Wu Tangisms, punk pugilism, second adolescence shit, emotional wounds and the poetics of soft intoxicants.
Part of "Infinite Ammo", a multi-album concept piece that I'll eventually finish. Production is almost all sampled loops on this one.
